We were delighted to hear the news that the old Holy Trinity Bell has been tracked down in its new home at Christ Church, Bundaburg, Australia.
The bell was removed as part of the conversion works of the deconsecrated church into the Trinity Medical Centre in 2015.
The bell tower at Trinity Medical Centre now houses all the heat pumps that heat and cool the modernised building.
It now sits as part of a peal of 6 bells known as the Peace Bells, installed in 2018 to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of WW1.
Tracked down on his travels by the son of a member of staff at the Medical Centre, the bell is now referred to as Faithfulness’.
Active reuse at its best!
See our project page for the Trinity Medical Centre for more details on the development.
