Description:
We were appointed to deliver a rear extension and internal alterations to a detached 1930’s property in the Hove Park area, East Sussex.
The brief was to create a spacious and bright rear extension that would accommodate a bespoke new kitchen and informal dining area. The approach was to create a simple and refined design suited to the main house. The functional needs of the client were cleverly woven into the design creating a clutter-less internal environment. This integration involved incorporating hidden automated blinds, concealed light fittings, and bespoke joinery.
A light and airy interior was achieved with large slimline sliding doors and a large rooflight over the dining space. We achieved the ‘Inside Outside’ feel with level door thresholds and the alignment of the external patio slabs and the internal limestone flooring.
The personalised kitchen by Martin Moore responded to the client’s desire for a timeless design. Works to the existing hallway included bespoke pull out cupboards to store coats, shoes and other day to day items.
Deacon and Richardson were appointed to provided a full service. In addition to the design and applications we managed the procurement process, administering the contract between the client and contractor.
